The Vertigo Snail (Vertigo concinnula) is a tiny land snail that can be found throughout New Mexico. It occurs in high mountains from the Black Range and Mogollon and Sacramento Mountains in southern New Mexico northward. It is found in the leaf litter of deciduous trees (mainly aspen [Populus spp.]) and under stones, dead logs, and branches.
