The Mount Riley Woodlandsnail (Ashmunella rileyensis) is a terrestrial snail found only on two small mountains that are surrounded by the La Mesa Plain, west of the Rio Grande valley in southernmost New Mexico. It is found only in long, linear mounds of rhyolitic talus that radiate downslope from the higher peaks of the Mount Riley complex.
