The Digger Bee (Anthophora chihuahua) is a ground-nesting species in the family Apidae. It is found in the Chihuahuan Desert of New Mexico and Texas, and it may eventually be recorded in Arizona and Chihuahua and Coahuila, Mexico. This species has been recorded very few times, and it appears to be uncommon or rare. Oil and gas drilling and the increased severity and incidence of drought conditions are likely threats.
