| Scientific Name | Perdita aperta |
| Category | D |
| Taxon | Bees |
The Miner Bee (Perdita aperta) is a ground-nesting species in the family Andrenidae. Very little is known about this species and it has only been recorded from several sites in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Bees in this genus typically forage on pollen and nectar from very few plants, so their emergence is closely timed with the phenology of their host plants. Based on habitat and ecology, the main threat to this species is likely the increased incidence and severity of drought due to climate change.
